Point of sale or (POS) is a word you hear a lot, but what does it mean?

The POS is the place where you close the sale transaction.

At the point of sale, the merchant calculates the payment amount from the customer and prepares an invoice for the customer (which remains a printed copy of the cash register) and also knows the options available for payment, whether Visa or cash and after payment, an invoice appears.

Example:

You turned around on a mobile, and you liked one, so I went to the cashier and paid and a bill came to you. The cashier system you paid for is considered a POS.
